With the Bundesliga season up and running again, the title race is well and truly on.

Borussia Dortmund have the perfect opportunity to cut Bayern Munich's lead at the top of the table to a single point on Tuesday... but that requires a victory over Bayern, of course.

Here are how the two teams are shaping up ahead of Der Klassiker...

Dortmund team news

There is good news for BVB, with Mats Hummels and Axel Witsel set to be fit.

The centre-back went off at half-time of Dortmund's 2-0 win at Wolfsburg on Saturday with a heel injury, but is back in training.

Midfielder Witsel has also returned to training and is an option despite having yet to play since the season's restart.

"We will have to see at the last minute but I think it will be alright, 99 per cent Mats will be there," BVB coach Lucien Favre said on Monday.

"Axel trained yesterday with the team again and could be in the squad."

Captain Marco Reus (thigh), Nico Schulz (muscle) and Dan-Axel Zagadou (knee) are definitely out for Dortmund.

One potential big call for Favre will be whether to start Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old has come off the bench in both of BVB's last two games and notched an assist at Wolfsburg, though whether he is ready for 90 minutes is another matter.

Bayern team news

Crentin Tolisso is also out with an ankle injury.

Niclas Sule is lacking match fitness, while Thiago Alcantara is a doubt due to a groin complaint.

Flick's biggest call may not necessarily be in terms of personnel, but tactics.

Bayern conceded two goals from two corners in four minutes against Frankfurt, and the champions may need a rethink - especially against Mats Hummels.

Predicted lineups

Dortmund (3-4-3): Burki; Piszczek, Hummels, Akanji; Hakimi, Can, Brandt, Guerreiro; Sancho, Haaland, Hazard

Bayern (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Pavard, Boateng, Alaba, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Gnabry, Muller, Coman; Lewandowski
