Brandon University power outage forces class cancellations

Power is out in several buildings at Brandon University, which has forced the cancellation of a number of classes.

While crews work to restore power, classes are cancelled in:

- Clark Hall.

- Library building.

- Education building.

- Health Studies (old and new).

Classes are continuing as normal in:

- Music building.

- Brodie building.

- McKenzie building.

- Health and Living Centre.

The outage has been traced to a high-voltage feeder line underground, university spokesperson Grant Hamilton said.

They are working with Manitoba Hydro to reroute power around the line while it's repaired, he said.

"That should mean power is back up for the whole campus later today," he said.
