Calgary man charged in New Year's Eve 2013 shooting wanted on Canada-wide warrants

A Calgary man accused of attempted murder on New Year's Eve three years ago is wanted on Canada-wide warrants after violating the conditions of his release.

Chayce Anthony Krause, 21, was charged in connection with a Dec. 31, 2013 shooting in southeast Calgary and put under house arrest.

A 33-year-old man was taken to hospitalfollowing the shooting.

Police say it's believed Krause left his approved residence on Aug. 26 and has not been seen since.

"Investigators believe that Krause is no longer in the Calgary area. The distance and direction of travel is unknown at this time," police said in a release.

Krause is white, five feet seven inches tall, and has a slim build.

He has brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing black pants, a black nylon zip-up jacket and was carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information about Krause is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
