Sadly, it's not going to be a T-shirt weather day. The high is only expected to reach 8 C and it will be cloudy and windy — gusts could reach 60 km/h by noon. Tomorrow will bring afternoon showers and a high of just 5 C.

The Foothills Fire Department is reporting that grass fires in the area are now under control in Blackie. The MD declared a local state of emergency last night after flames had to be put out in the area.

Calgary Police have recovered more than $300,000

The Prentice government says despite the current economic forecast, it won't back down on its promise to build 56 new schools or additions to current buildings. Another 21 Alberta schools will be modernized or replaced by 2018.
