California Greek chain opens another location in the Sacramento area. What’s on the menu?

The newest restaurant in the Sacramento area engulfs its customers into a world of Mediterranean flavors — no plane ticket required.

California Greek restaurant chain Jayna Gyro opened its second location in the area and third in the state on Jan. 2 at 1132 Galleria, Suite 100, in Roseville. The other restaurants are at 3101 Folsom Blvd. in East Sacramento and 5959 Shellmount St. in Emeryville.

The chain cooks up traditional Greek foods, according to its website, incorporating octopus, chickpea, lamb, Greek yogurt and olive oil into its dishes. More than half of the menu features vegetarian options.

Jayna Gyro representatives were not available to comment.

The restaurant chain is owned by Yusuf Topal, who started as a kitchen helper on a cruise ship. He opened the East Sacramento location last summer.
