Canada Day 2015 in Windsor: What's open and closed
Canada Day means some services and businesses will be closed. Others have altered their hours.
Here's a list of what's open and what's closed:
Transit Windsor
City buses will operate on a regular Sunday/holiday schedule Canada Day.
The tunnel bus will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

City of Windsor
City of Windsor offices will be closed July 1 in observance of the Canada Day holiday.
City Council's meeting schedule is unaffected by this holiday, but the meeting of the Social Development, Health & Culture Standing Committee, which is typically held on the first Wednesday of the month will be held on Wednesday, July 8 at 9 a.m. as a result of the holiday.
311 Call Centre
The 311 Call Centre will be closed Canada Day. Regular hours resume July 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Garbage and Recycling Collections
There will be no residential collection services Canada Day.
All other collection areas will have their residential garbage and recycling collection services delayed by one day.
Residents should refer to their 2014-2015 waste collection calendar.
Night commercial, front-end loader and weekly recycling collections are not delayed.
Public Drop-off, Household and Chemical Waste Depot
The depot at Central Avenue and E.C. Row will be closed Canada Day.
Regular hours of operation are Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parks and Recreation
All community centres and all customer care centres will be closed with the exception of scheduled rentals Canada Day.
Outdoor pools will be open from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The downtown aquatics centre will be open for long-course (50-metre) adult fit lanes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the fitness centre will be open regular hours.
All arenas will be closed.
Parking Enforcement
There will be no parking enforcement Canada Day and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed.
Windsor Public Library
All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed Canada Day. Regular hours resume July 2
Windsor's Community Museum
Windsor's Community Museum will be open regular hours Canada Day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Beer Store
The local Beer Stores will be closed.
The LCBO
All LCBO stores will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, to observe the Canada Day statutory holiday.
Some agency stores will observe their normal hours of business on July 1. Agency stores are locally-owned retail establishments authorized by the LCBO to sell beverage alcohol, along with other retail products, in communities that are too small to support LCBO stores.
Grocery Stores
Most grocery stores have holiday hours in effect Wednesday. Costco is closed.
Devonshire Mall
Devonshire Mall is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Windsor Crossing
Windsor Crossing Outlet Mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Downtown Windsor Aquatic Centre
Adventure Bay Family Water Park is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
211 Windsor-Essex
The 211 Call Centre will be open 24 hours Canada Day to serve residents throughout Windsor and Essex County.
