Canada GDP stalls in July after six consecutive monthly gains

Sept 30 (Reuters) - Canada's economy unexpectedly posted no growth in July compared with June, following six consecutive monthly gains, Statistics Canada data indicated on Tuesday. Manufacturing and public sector output were the main contributors to growth, rising by 1.0 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively. Mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction fell 1.5 percent while utilities declined 2.3 percent. (Reporting by Alex Paterson; Editing by David Ljunggren)
