Canada March wholesale trade down 2.2% on autos

May 20 (Reuters) - Canadian wholesale trade decreased by 2.2% in March from February on weaker sales in the motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector, Statistics Canada said on Wednesday.

Sales were down in three out of seven subsectors, representing 29% of wholesale trade, while sales declined in six of the ten provinces. Sales fell by 2.8% in volume terms.
