Canada's best music education program tops 500 entries

The Canadian Music Class Challenge is on!

CBC Music, in association with MusiCounts, is looking for Canada's best music education program.

Music classes from every province and territory have submitted their performances — more than 500 in total — and you can see them all.

Check out this performance of Ain't Gonna Bother Me by Rosie and the Riveters, submitted by Holy Heart of Mary High School in St. John's.

This year's categories are:

- Elementary School Instrumental

- Elementary School with Vocal/Choral (a cappella or with band)

- Junior High School Instrumental

- Junior High School Vocal/Choral (a cappella or with band)

- High School Instrumental

- High School with Vocal/Choral (a cappella or with band)

The winners of the Canadian Music Class Challenge will be announced on Friday, Dec. 16.
