Cardi B's Shimmery Maroon Manicure Is Perfect for Fall

Cardi B is officially in fall beauty mode, folks. Case in point: On Saturday night, the "Wap" singer debuted a moody maroon manicure on her Instagram Story — and while eating a Gusher-falvored yogurt no less. Over the last few months, we've witnessed a wide variety of nail looks from the singer, with most of them featuring vibrant hues, like neon green and Barbie pink. Now though, it seems she's switching things up for the new season, and of course we're here for it.

Monday, September 21 kicks off our week-long 2020 Best of Beauty virtual event series! To join us, RSVP here before it’s too late to enjoy tutorials and panels featuring some of the best experts in the industry, such as Justine Marjan, Priscilla Ono, and more.

The edgy dark purply-red color is a fall classic for a reason: It symbolizes the start of cooler weather, and it looks amazing paired with all your favorite cozy sweaters. It's no wonder pretty much every brand under the sun — OPI, Smith & Cult, Essie, you name it — offers a gorgeous maroon shade in their collection. It's a failsafe, ultra-flattering hue that works on every skin tone.

As for who's behind Cardi B's latest manicure, it's safe to assume her go-to nail gal, Jenny Bui of Nails on 7th Salon in New York City, had something to do with it. However, it's worth noting that she didn't go for any rhinestones or crystals with this manicure, and sparkle is her signature. Instead, she kept the nail look sleek and simple with a shimmery maroon shade and square-shaped nails.

Needless to say, we'll recreating this fall-perfect manicure, stat.
