Cher feels like her life span “should be in the Guinness Book of World Records!”

Having been in the industry since her and Sonny Bono’s 1965 song “I Got You Babe,” the “Believe” singer, 77, revealed in a recent interview with The Guardian that her life seems to have gone on for a very long time.

The icon also opened up about her first Christmas album, which she’s set to release on Friday. “Everyone has done one,” she told The Guardian as she described her thoughts when a Christmas album was first suggested to her.

“So, when my manager called and said, ‘We’d like you to do this,’ my immediate answer was ‘No!’” Cher added. “He said, ‘Just think about it.’ So, I sat down and thought, ‘What can I do that’s different?’”

Cher then explained that her new album, Christmas, “doesn’t scream ‘Christmas’ every second and isn’t filled with songs you know by name." According to the outlet, half of the album’s work is new, including songs such as “DJ Play a Christmas Song.”

Cher recently opened up to PEOPLE about finding love after going public with her music producer Alexander "A.E." Edwards last year. Edwards also produced her song, "Drop Top Sleigh Ride" which will appear in her new album.

“Alexander’s got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair and he’s way younger. He’s a beautiful man,” Cher told PEOPLE. She revealed that the pair met a year ago at a Paris Fashion Week, with a mutual friend giving Cher’s number to Edwards.

“It was really shocking, because people just don’t give out my number,” Cher said. “I had been telling all my friends, ‘We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.’ So I did what I said not to do!”
