Back in April, Chili's announced they were testing a new "Boss Burger" a.k.a a behemoth of a burger which clocks in at a mere 1,6500 calories. Thanks to social media, its moment has finally arrived.

If you aren't familiar yet as to what comes inside these buns, it's five meats: brisket, pulled ribs, jalapeño-cheddar smoked sausage, bacon, and a half-pound beef patty. It's also slathered in BBQ sauce, ranch, cheddar, and topped with tomato and lettuce to, you know, balance things out. The restaurant chain said they decided to give their latest innovation the green light after it received an "overwhelmingly positive response" from both their test markets and the good old internet.

The Boss is now a permanent member of the Chili's menu too, which means you can get it anytime, anywhere. So, if your jaw is up to the test, head over to your local Chili's and take one down ASAP.

After Chili’s announced in September 2017 that they’d bring their focus back to burgers, ribs and fajitas, the restaurant chain just announced their new burger innovations this week and one of them is a total beast. Or boss, rather.

“America’s love of burgers has never waned, but the bar for an exceptional burger keeps getting higher and higher,” Steve Provost, Chili’s Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement. “Well, at almost half a foot tall – and with bacon and rib meat and sausage and brisket stacked on top of our one half pound of burger meat – it’s hard to get any higher than The Boss.”

Here’s how The Boss is built:

Of course, all that meat means that the entire burger has 1,650 calories total in it. Chili’s suggests sharing the burger with your friends and family or tackling it yourself in your very own Man vs. Food challenge.

In addition to The Boss, Chili’s also introduced two other burgers this week including the Chili’s Chili, a burger from the restaurant’s very first menu back in 1975 using the original chili recipe, and the Alex’s Santa Fe, a completely new creation made with fresh avocado, tomato, onion, pickles and Chili’s secret spicy Santa Fe sauce.

Unfortunately, these burgers aren’t available nationwide, yet. In addition to testing them in several markets around the country, Chili’s hosted a #ChilisUnderground event at their Test Kitchen in Dallas. So far, people seem to love these new burgers, so you just might have a chance to try them out for yourself later this year.
