Chocolate Easter egg cracked for St. John's Morning Show

An oversized chocolate egg was unveiled Thursday morning in the CBC studios, created especially for the St. John's Morning Show.

Brent Smith, with the Newfoundland Chocolate Company, said the egg was a special project that took a lot of commitment.

According to Smith, the whole project took about 12 hours of work to complete.

The egg was painted with a St. John's theme, featuring The Rooms, Cabot Tower, and the CBC building, among other things.

Smith said the egg was over a foot in height, and weighed more than three pounds.
