Chris Appleton filed for divorce from his husband, actor Lukas Gage, on Nov. 13.

The documents obtained by PEOPLE show that the couple had a postnuptial agreement in place, dated May 3, a week and a half after their Las Vegas wedding on April 22.

"Pursuant to the parties’ Postnuptial Agreement executed May 3, 2023, all assets and obligations of each party are his separate property. There are no community assets," the documents, filed in Los Angeles, read.

The hairstylist cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for separation and listed Nov. 10 as the end date of the marriage.

The couple's wedding, which was officiated by Appleton's friend and client Kim Kardashian, was featured on last week's episode of The Kardashians on Hulu. While Kardashian and Appleton were discussing the Las Vegas wedding, the SKIMS creator urged her friend to have a prenup in place. She even joked she could "maybe even write it for you guys."

However, the couple apparently didn't get the prenup together before walking down the aisle, thus having the postnup instead.

Appleton, 40, and Gage, 28, wed in April in Las Vegas and even Shania Twain played a part in their celebratory weekend.

"Ring finger where the rock is," the White Lotus actor captioned a series of photos on Instagram showing the couple exchanging vows earlier this year.

The final video in the Instagram carousel featured the newlyweds standing with champagne glasses on a stage as Twain serenaded them to her hit "You're Still the One."

Also on last week's episode of The Kardashians, Appleton revealed that his engagement ring from Gage was made from the caviar tin that they shared on their first date.

Appleton and Gage had a whirlwind romance. They first sparked dating rumors in February when they traveled together and posted pictures of each other on social media. They took their relationship to the red carpet in early March and soon after, Appleton confirmed the two were a pair.

Appleton confirmed his relationship with Gage during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on March 15.

"I'm very happy," he told the host. "Very much in love, and I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special. Love is a really special thing, and I think meeting someone you connect with is really, really special."

Just over a month later, the two were married and in the nearly seven months that followed, they attended a number of events together. Gage even helped Appleton ring in his 40th birthday in style with a surprise celebration in Turks and Caicos.

Neither Appleton nor Gage has publicly addressed their split.
