Christy's weather: light flurries forecast for Whitehorse

Yukon outlook

More snowfall will move into the north of the Yukon today, with 5-10 cm expected in Old Crow by tonight.

The south will see light flurries this afternoon, with a weak low pressure system just offshore. Temperatures will remain very mild today in the Yukon, with highs near the freezing mark in the south, and in the minus single digits in the north.,

N.W.T. outlook

The windy weather has returned to the North of the N.W.T. today with winds gusting to 70 km/h in Tuktoyaktuk and Paulatuk. Light snowfall is expected today in those areas with a low pressure system moving through.

Further south, light snowfall is expected in the Sahtu, while Great Slave Lake and the Dehcho will remain relatively dry.

Temperatures will be slightly milder through the territory today, with highs near -10 C in the Delta, Sahtu, Dehcho, and South Slave.

Yellowknife will be a couple of degrees cooler in the minus teens.

Nunavut outlook

Clear and cold weather will continue through most of Nunavut again today, with temperatures in the -30s. Iqaluit will remain a couple of degrees warmer again today (near -23 C) before things cool down again tomorrow.
