Three City of Calgary golf courses opened this week, with more to come.

McCall Lake's par three and 18-hole courses are up and running, as well as the Shaganappi Point 18-hole course.

The Maple Ridge 18-hole and Shaganappi Valley nine-hole courses will open on April 12, but tee times can already be booked.

The city says more courses will reopen based on weather, course conditions and COVID-19 public health orders.

"Safety has been a key focus of the reopening. The seasonal reopening is in alignment with provincial direction, and measures have been put in place to help increase safety for players as they golf," the city said in a release on Thursday.

"These include allowing only pre-booked play, no club rentals, limits on gatherings and amenities use like power carts and ball washing stands. Driving ranges are not open at this time."

Information and booking for tee times can be found at calgary.ca/golf.
