‘Corruption and lies and gaslighting’: Carol Vorderman tears into the Tories

Carol Vorderman has torn into the Conservative Party, accusing them of 14 years of “corruption and lies and gaslighting”.

Speaking on Channel 4’s special election programming, the broadcaster tried to rouse some positivity from her fellow guests as exit polls indicated that Labour were headed to an election victory.

She told presenters, “You’ve got two ex-disgraced chancellors in the studio. You’ve got Nadine Dorries, a woman who barely turned up last year as an MP, and you’ve got everybody out there is thinking ‘no more’ of this. No more of the lies, of the deceit, of the corruption, of the VIP PPE loan scandal, and the betting scandal.”
