Country music star Kane Brown got lost in the woods surrounding his house, called police for help

Who's ready for the "let's get lost in the woods" chapter of quarantine?

No, this isn't a subtle nod to some unheard b-side on Taylor Swift's campfire-y new album "folklore," either.

Country music artist Kane Brown actually got lost in the acreage surrounding his property, per a now-removed Facebook post from the chart-topping "Homesick" singer.

Brown and a few friends went to explore the 30 acres he purchased with a new home — out of an estimated 3,000 acres in the neighboring area, he noted — and a 30-minute excursion "turned into 3 hours it started raining turned dark and dropped to 40 degrees," the post said.

On a four-wheeler, Brown and company kept running into impassable cliffs while trying to use GPS to get home. He called in a cavalry — area resident and "hick-hop" performer Ryan Upchurch and Upchurch's buddy — to help find a path out of the woods.

"He has 4 other friends riding around in a canam (a type of off-road ATV) and they start getting shot at," Brown said. "My buddy’s girl who has asthma started then freaking out. We HAD to get her out."

The group proceeded to call the police, he wrote.

"The cops arrive and (hear) the gun shots and think we are shooting at them," Brown said. "We yell at them and tell them we are not armed and made it out."

Brown, who posted the story to Facebook after grabbing headlines for sharing an abbreviated version on "Extra!" last week, concluded with writing "... that’s the story but I love the getting lost in my back yard better."

Still, this summer isn't all about backyard adventures for Brown. The singer released a music video for his single "Cool Again" last week, enlisting St. Louis rapper Nelly for the cut. "Cool Again" and Brown's collaboration with Swae Lee and Khalid, "Be Like That," can be found on "Mixtape Volume 1," which drops Friday via Sony Music Nashville.
