Country star Jana Kramer went on a babymoon in Florida. She ended up in the hospital

The best laid plans and all that ...

Jana Kramer never expected to end up in a hospital during her recent vacay to South Florida, but that’s unfortunately what happened to the country singer.

The 39-year-old actress, who is expecting a boy with her fiancé, soccer coach Allan Russell, wasn’t going into early labor, though.

The former “One Tree Hill” star told her Instagram followers that she’d been experiencing back pain for weeks, but figured it had to do with carrying a baby around.

Turns out what she was experiencing was way more intense.

On Sunday, the mother of two (with ex husband Mike Caussin) revealed that she’d been diagnosed with a bacterial infection in her kidneys and spent two days at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

“Well. Our babymoon didn’t go as planned but there were some lessons learned,” said Kramer’s caption alongside a picture of her looking miserable, hooked up to intravenous antibiotics.

The Michigan native, whose unborn baby boy is fine, writes that everyone (especially moms) should always listen to our bodies and never ignore pain.

“You’re not a baby or inconveniencing people. If you hurt, talk to you doctor,” said the post. “Leaving things for too long or not taking care of yourself when you’re not feeling good can become very serious.”

The upside to feeling like hell? Kramer found out that Russell is great in an emergency. The hunky Scot even slept by her side in a chair when he could have more comfortably been in a bed at their hotel room.

Another plus: Just being in sunny Florida in October when the weather was pretty glorious.

After Kramer was discharged another post showed her on the beach in a bikini, kissing her guy:

“Though it was only one day to enjoy it we soaked up every minute.”
