Cruel Summer confirms international season 2 release date
Cruel Summer has confirmed when international fans will be able to watch season 2, with the new episodes set to premiere next month.
The next season of the hit Freeform teen mystery thriller premiered in the US last month, with a new cast taking over for a storyline focusing on a love triangle and an intense teenage friendship.
It has now been confirmed that season 2 will premiere for global fans (including those in the UK) on Prime Video on August 11.

The new episodes are led by stars Sadie Stanley and Lexi Underwood, as the story moves to an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest and tackles three different timelines around the turn of the millennium.
Season 2 "tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that impacted all of their lives going forward".
Other new cast members for the new episodes include Griffin Gluck, KaDee Strickland, Lisa Yamada, Sean Blakemore, Paul Adelstein and Braeden De La Garza.

There have also been changes behind-the-scenes too, with Elle Triedman taking over as showrunner from Tia Napolitano.
Ahead of its US release, Cruel Summer season 2 unveiled a trailer, showing Megan and Isabella forced to get their story straight about their involvement in their friend's death, before another body is found.
The twist-filled first season of the show focused on the story of character Kate's (Olivia Holt) kidnapping, which happened as Jeannette (Chiara Aurelia) rose in popularity.
Cruel Summer season two premieres internationally on Prime Video on Friday, August 11, while the show airs on Freeform in the US.
