Curious, Fluffy Dog Requires 3-Hour Groom Session After Breaking Into a Box of Sticky Cereal
Crumpet the pup got into the messy situation after her family member left the cereal cabinet open
A dog's secret snacking session turned into an hours-long visit to the groomer.
According to SWNS, Heather Hunt recently returned home to find cereal spread all over the floor and on the face of her dog, Crumpet.
After some investigating, Hunt found out what had happened. Crumpet had gotten into the cereal cupboard after her son had left the cabinet open.
"She got into two other cereal boxes too, but the sugar puff cereal is covered in honey, so it stuck to her fur like tar," Hunt told SWNS about what Crumpet's cereal binge did to her fur.

Photos of how Hunt found the dog after her cereal snack show the white, fluffy pup with dozens of cereal pieces embedded in her fur.
Hunt said she tried to clean up Crumpet's mess herself, but the cereal proved trickier to remove than she thought.
"I couldn't get them out. I tried to wet them, but it just turned them into wallpaper paste," Hunt explained.
Since her attempts to clean Crumpet failed, Hunt took the canine to the groomer, which became a lengthy clean-up session.

"When I finally decided to take her to the groomers, it took them nearly three hours to wash her, cut all of the cereal out, and make her look like a dog again," the dog's mom said.
Crumpet's photos from after her grooming session show a dog with a much shorter, cereal-free haircut.
"She looked like a completely different dog," Hunt said of the results.
Crumpet is one of Hunt's three dogs. The pet parent said the trio of pooches are known for causing mischief.

"Her and the other two dogs are always in the shopping, too; I can't leave a bag unattended as they'll be straight into [it]," she said
Despite the mess and the groomer bill, Hunt says she will always adore Crumpet.
"I love them to death," she said of her pups.
