Dairy Queen Is Giving Out Free Blizzards in Honor of Their Summer Menu with 3 New Flavors
The ice cream chain is celebrating an early start to summer with a BOGO deal
Forget spring, Dairy Queen is all ready for summer!
On Monday, the ice cream chain announced their summer Blizzard menu lineup — available April 1 — which includes three new flavors, plus the return of nostalgic favorites.
In honor of the early seasonal welcome, fans can snag a buy-one-get-one free deal from April 1 through April 14 in the DQ app. Customers can buy one of any size Blizzard and get one for “equal or lesser value,” per a release.
Dairy Queen's new summer Blizzards include the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party Blizzard, the Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard and the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard.

The peanut butter flavor is made with chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter topping and rainbow confetti crunch all mixed with soft serve.
The peach cobbler Blizzard combines soft serve blended with real peaches and cobbler pieces.
To round out the new flavors, the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard is triple the fun with Oreos, Chips Ahoy and Nutter Butter all mixed with soft serve.
The summer lineup doesn’t end with the new innovations. Dairy Queen is giving a warm welcome back to three fan-favorites, starting with the Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard. Made with frosted animal cookie pieces, of course, the frozen treat is blended with pink confetti icing and soft serve.
Chocolate lovers should get excited for the next returning treat: the Brownie Batter Blizzard. DQ is also bringing back the Cotton Candy Blizzard, which blends together cotton candy sprinkles and soft serve for a dreamy finish.

More old flavors are returning soon. The sweets company announced the opening of the “DQ Freezer,” which “has remained a secret for nearly 40 years,” per a release. The freezer will eventually bring “the unprecedented opportunity for future re-releases of more than 170 flavors.” The summer flavors are the first to re-emerge from the freezer and fans are expected to get more nostalgic flavors over time.
Earlier in March, the chain confirmed with PEOPLE that the Cherry Cone Dip will be returning to the DQ menu after it was discontinued last spring.
"We know our fans love the Cherry Dipped Cone, and we're excited to bring this sweet offering back for a limited time at participating locations," a representative for the brand said in a statement at the time.
