Dan Walker reunites with BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent for special cause
Dan Walker reunited with BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent for a special cause as they acknowledged their dancing past.
The pair worked together on the morning news show before Walker eventually moved to Channel 5 in 2022, though they both shared another connection as they each starred on Strictly Come Dancing.
As part of their shared past, the pair joined fellow Strictly alumni Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones for the Burrow Strictly Ball in Blackpool, a fundraiser for former rugby league player Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2019.

Walker, who appeared in the 19th series of Strictly, posted a photo of the quartet on Instagram, writing: "Tonight we are hosting the @burrowstrictlyball in Blackpool. Amazing night raising money for the MND Association.
He also posted a selfie with Sally and a Glitterball trophy, writing: "'A friend is one of the finest things you can have and one of the best things you can be.' It was lovely to catch-up with @sallynugenttv on Saturday night.
"We chat often on the phone but she reminded me how special it is when you get to work with someone who makes each day a little brighter and laughs at your jokes. We didn't win anything… we just stole the trophy for a snap."

Sally, who appeared on the 2023 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special with Graziano Di Prima, responded to Dan's post, commenting: "What a fabulous night. Entirely fuelled by chocolate mini rolls obviously."
Dragons' Den and fellow Strictly star Sara Davies also commented on the story, writing: "And I can't tell you how much I miss waking up and hanging out with you two for the first couple of hours of my day!"
Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
