All About Daniel Craig's Daughter Ella Loudon
Daniel Craig and Fiona Loudon welcomed their daughter Ella in 1992
Talent runs in Daniel Craig's family! His daughter, Ella Loudon, has followed in his acting footsteps.
Craig married his first wife, Fiona "Harley" Loudon, in 1992 and they welcomed their only child together in November of that year. Two years after her birth, Craig and Fiona divorced, but they continued to co-parent their daughter.
Although Craig and Fiona kept their family life out of the spotlight, Ella has frequently praised her parents and their careers — and she has even been her father's date for red carpet premieres.
For Fiona's birthday in 2022, Ella posted photos with her mom on Instagram and encouraged her followers to listen to her music. "[I] am so thankful I got to be raised by such a wonderful bean … Who helped me write little songs as a release when I was upset with people at school or things in life," she wrote of her mom.
Ella has worked on both stage and screen. "I really just want to be respected as a quality actress and do really good quality work," she told the Berkshire Eagle in 2018.
Here's everything to know about Daniel Craig's daughter, Ella Loudon.
She is an actress
At the age of 11, Loudon was bitten by the acting bug after she appeared in a school production of the musical Bugsy Malone. She began studying at New York University's Atlantic Acting School, but she dropped out during her freshman year.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, director Tina Packer from Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, saw Loudon perform in nearby Stockbridge and later invited her to attend the company's acting intensive. Loudon would eventually perform in the company's mainstage productions of Twelfth Night, As You Like It and more, according to her agency Independent Talent Group.
Loudon has also appeared in the films Maneater and Trauma Is a Time Machine.
She is proud of her father
Loudon has publicly praised her father's work, including his performance as the legendary action hero James Bond.
"I sat in the royal box and got to watch my Pops kick arse as Bond for the last time," she wrote beside a photo of the two at the No Time to Die premiere. "I'm pretty f—--- proud. 17 years. Goodness. Unbelievably thankful. So much love to the Bond family and a huge congratulations."
She studied in the U.K. and the U.S.
Loudon was raised in London before she moved to Massachusetts at the age of 17 to attend a boarding school, according to The Daily Mail. After high school graduation, she attended NYU to study acting but left the program during her first year.
"I've gone to a few drama schools; I may have dropped out of a couple and enjoyed a few. This is the only place I've had the best training and a clear understanding of what I'm doing," she told the Berkshire Eagle of Shakespeare & Company's training. "The people are amazing. ... Teacher-student; it feels like everyone's a teacher and everyone's a student."
She is a model
Loudon is also a model and has worked in various capacities, including bridal hair and fashion. She is signed with Select Model Management and has been featured in Vogue and L'Officiel.
Most recently, Loudon attended New York Fashion Week in February 2023 and the Los Angeles Fashion Awards in April 2022. She often posts behind-the-scenes pics from her photo shoots on Instagram.
She co-founded a community coalition
In October 2021, Loudon and director Samantha Scaffidi co-founded the Domestic Violence Community Coalition of Hudson with the aim to serve their local community and provide resources and funds to people experiencing abuse.
"It is our hope that this collective will serve as the link between local organizations and our community here in Hudson, helping to spread awareness and raise funds to fight domestic abuse locally," Scaffidi wrote in a statement. "We are small but we hope to grow over time with the community."
She is open about her health
In an interview with the Berkshire Eagle, Loudon revealed that she has dyslexia.
"It's amazing how the brain can naturally compartmentalize, but you're also talking to someone who really struggles with learning lines," she told the outlet. "There are some people who can just get it. It's not an excuse, but it's something I struggle with."
After Loudon dropped out of NYU, she also experienced depression. At the time, she didn't want to act or participate in any of her other passions.
"You might have the most wonderful people around you and who love you dearly, but you're still blinded to that," she said. "I was completely blinded to that. [I] felt so very alone and isolated myself, but my family noticed, and they took action for me in getting me help."
"I don't think it ever disappears," she added.
Loudon later returned to acting in 2014 at Riggs Theatre 37 in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where her passion was reignited.
