The Dick’s Drive-In food truck is coming to downtown Tacoma. Here’s what to know

The Dick’s Drive-In food truck will park in downtown Tacoma during lunchtime on June 12.

“This Wednesday, grab your friends + co-workers, bring your appetite, and don’t miss out on some of the region’s most legendary burgers and hand-dipped milkshakes,” the Downtown Tacoma Partnership posted on their Instagram page on Tuesday morning.

Customers can line up at the corner of Pacific Avenue and 12th Street outside the 1201 Pacific Building to get a quick meal from the Seattle-based burger joint.

Dick’s food truck has been coming to this location in downtown Tacoma once a month since the Downtown Tacoma Partnership announced an arrangement with the business in April on Instagram. The food truck’s first visit to Tacoma was in September 2021. Its most recent visit to this spot was on May 15.

The burger joint first opened its doors in 1954 in Seattle and has kept its menu of burgers, fresh-cut fries and hand-dipped milkshakes virtually the same since then. Dick’s operates nine physical store locations, including one in Kent and their newest location in Federal Way.
