Dispatch tape released in cop shooting trial

Two Winnipeg police officers accused of shooting a suspect and then trying to cover it up are awaiting a verdict from a jury.

Const. Darrel Selley and Const. Kris Overwater have been on trial since Jan. 21, accused of shooting Kristofer Fournier in the buttocks following a high-speed chase in 2007, then trying to cover up what happened.

Jurors deliberated throughout the day Thursday, but adjourned without reaching a verdict. They will reconvene on Friday.
