Doctor Who fan theory confirmed for 'The Legend of Ruby Sunday'
Doctor Who spoilers follow for the most recently-aired episode, 'The Legend of Ruby Sunday'.
Doctor Who revealed the answers to a few season-long mysteries in the first part of the current run's finale this weekend – but it also had fans asking if the show was specifically making a sly dig at a certain controversial politician.
In 'The Legend of Ruby Sunday', the character Susan Triad (who was revealed not to be The Doctor's granddaughter or linked to the TARDIS at all, but a way for the evil Sutekh to draw our Time Lord hero into a trap) comes on stage at one point and does an awkward dance.

Viewers felt the tech entrepreneur's stiff and robotic moves looked very reminiscent of the moment when former Prime Minister Theresa May danced on stage to an ABBA song at the 2018 Conservative party conference – with some wondering if it was an intentional parody.
In the audio-described version of the episode (from 36 minutes 29 seconds in), the narrator says: "Susan steps before the cameras, breaking into a mock Theresa May dance. She smiles and waves to an imaginary audience."
So there you have it – as officially confirmed by the episode's audio description itself, the show was indeed taking a jab at the former Prime Minister's dancing skills (or lack thereof).
With that done and dusted, there are plenty of other mysteries for fans to debate before the season finale 'Empire of Death', which premieres on Saturday (June 22).
Outstanding questions include the identity of Ruby's mother, whether Susan and her Triad technology still have a role to play in the events of the finale, whether there's a reason why Sutekh waited until now to come back to Earth – and what Anita Dobson's mysterious character Mrs Flood has to do with all of this.

It's also been confirmed that Fleabag star Sian Clifford will appear in the season finale, playing a mysterious character known only as 'Kind Woman'.
'Empire of Death's' official synopsis reveals that "the Doctor has lost, his ageless enemy reigns supreme, and a shadow is falling over creation.
"Nothing can stop the devastation... except, perhaps, one woman."
