About a dozen people dressed in black vandalize west Olympia building, police say
Olympia police are seeking more information about a group that vandalized an office building on the west side Friday night.
About 11:20 p.m., a group of about a dozen people, all of whom were wearing black and carrying backpacks, were seen smashing the glass on an office building door, Police Lt. Paul Lower said.
The building, which has multiple tenants, is in the 200 block of Kenyon Street Northwest, which intersects with Harrison Avenue.
Police arrived to find several first-floor windows broken, graffiti, a splatter of orange paint, a jar of orange paint and a black spray paint can on the ground, Lower said.
The group was last seen headed north on Kenyon Street.
The incident has been forwarded to detectives, Lower said. Anyone with information is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
