About a dozen people, dressed in black, vandalized west side building, Olympia police say

Olympia police seek more information about an office building that was vandalized Friday night.

About 11:20 p.m., a group of about a dozen people, all of whom were reportedly wearing black and carrying backpacks, were seen smashing the glass of an office building door, Lt. Paul Lower said.

The building, which is home to multiple tenants, is in the 200 block of Kenyon Street Northwest. It intersects with Harrison Avenue Northwest.

Police arrived to find several first-floor windows broken, graffiti, a splatter of orange paint, a jar of orange paint and a black spray paint can on the ground, Lower said.

The group was last seen headed north on Kenyon Street.

The incident has been forwarded to detectives, Lower said. Anyone with information is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
