Drone damages empty fuel reservoir near Russia's Voronezh, governor says

(Reuters) - Debris from a downed Ukrainian drone damaged an unused reservoir at a fuel depot in Russia's Voronezh region on Friday, regional governor Alexander Gusev said on the Telegram messaging app.

There were no casualties or fire, and the drone was one of six downed by air defences over the region, he added.

Separately, the RIA news agency cited Russia's defence ministry as saying that 70 Ukrainian drones have been downed overnight over the Rostov region, and 17 over other regions, including the Voronezh one.

KYIV (Reuters) -Russian guided bombs shattered an apartment building in Ukraine's second-largest city on Saturday, killing three people, injuring 52 and prompting President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to call for more help to deal with the growing threat of such weapons. Pictures posted online showed parts of the five-storey apartment building in ruins, with windows smashed, balconies wrecked and rubble strewn about a crater on the ground. Prosecutors in Ukraine's eastern Kharkiv region put the casualty toll at three dead and 52 injured in the mid-afternoon attack, including three injured children.
