Durham voters head to polls in byelection

The door-knocking and handshaking is over, and the voting begins Monday in the federal riding of Durham.

Voters there will send a new MP to Ottawa to replace former Conservative cabinet minister Bev Oda.

Former military man Erin O'Toole is on the ballot for the Conservatives this time around.

Local business owner Grant Humes is running for the Liberals, and veteran politician Larry O'Connor is the candidate for the New Democrats.

There are also byelections today in the western ridings Calgary Centre and Victoria.
