Dyson who? Shoppers say this $92 Black+Decker stick vacuum is 'just as good' as the pricey brand — get it on sale

Spring cleaning awaits: Snag this Black+Decker cordless stick vacuum at a price that'll floor you.

Spring cleaning season is in full swing, and if your old vacuum's starting to sound a little wheezy whenever you turn it on, it might be time for a replacement. While it might be tempting to splurge on a fancy Dyson, Amazon shoppers have found a much more affordable vac that many say they prefer just as much (if not more!) than the fancy brand. Enter: the Black+Decker PowerSeries+ 16V Max Cordless Stick Vacuum. It's got the same sleek aesthetic as its pricier counterparts but happens to be on sale for just $92. Now that's an Amazon deal that really cleans up!

A lightweight dust-zapper that looks like a Dyson, has a long-lasting battery and costs about 90 bucks? Yeah, we were "floored" too.

Why is it a good deal?

When you consider how much other brands can cost (upward of $300 for a Dyson), it's a no-brainer. Most stick vacuums in this price range are from unrecognizable brands, so the fact that it has the Black+Decker label to back it up makes it even more appealing. While this model doesn't have the highest voltage, unless you're doing some very heavy-duty cleaning, it should suffice.

Why do I need this?

Clocking in at just 8 pounds, this Black+Decker stick vacuum is far easier to maneuver and move throughout the house than a bulky upright vac — and since it's cordless, you won't have to worry about tripping over cables or looking for an open outlet every time you go to a different room.

Don't be fooled by its lightweight design, though. This bad boy can run for up to 40 minutes before needing a recharge and uses AutoSense Technology to determine how much suction is needed on various surface types. Plus, it's equipped with an anti-tangle brush bar (a boon if you've got pet hair to contend with) as well as cyclonic filtration to help keep the filter clear and the machine in good working condition.

Some other cool features? It easily converts into a handheld and comes with a crevice tool that'll allow you to clean stairs, furniture or even the interior of your car with ease. The LED lights on its head allow you to see crumbs and debris when cleaning dark spaces, and when you're done using it, it stands upright on its own — no storage holder or wall-leaning required.

What reviewers say

More than 3,700 Amazon customers have given this 16V model a perfect rating — maybe you'll be next?

Pros

"I was between a Shark cordless and this," shared one satisfied shopper. "HUGE price difference and [I] honestly believe this one works better! Super lightweight, love the self-stand feature and minimal charging cord. [It] holds [a] battery for a decent amount of time. Great suction! I’ve had a Dyson cordless, and this works just as good in my opinion!"

"Overall, very pleased with this unit, since I am 80 and have arthritis and it only takes about 30-45 minutes to do my entire small house," wrote another impressed buyer. "Since I live in a sand pit, this is a wonderful unit. Gets dog and cat hair very well also."

Cons

"I got this for my multi-surface (wood, carpet and tile) apartment, and it works wonderfully!" exclaimed a final fan. "I love that it has an auto sensor to detect when it needs to change suction power or height. It's also not very loud, in my opinion, compared to other vacs I've had. It's also really easy to take apart for cleaning! The battery lasts for a long time — I was able to vacuum my whole apartment twice before it died. I just wish it didn't take so long to charge the battery. Other than that, no complaints here."

Crumbs, pet hair, dust and dirt are no match for this small yet mighty floor cleaner.

And when it comes to wiping up wet messes? These ingenious mop slippers are just the coolest things ever invented.

No more lugging out a big mop and bucket — clean while you walk!

"These mop slippers are my new favorite find," wrote one Yahoo staffer. "I slip them on each morning when I get out of bed, and my feet feel warm and cared for. Throughout the day they get me off my butt and onto my feet. Instead of noting (with dread) a smattering of crumbs or a film of dust, I attack it on my way to check the mail or while making lunch."
