EastEnders shares romance update for Teddy and Sharon

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders is set to give fans an update on Teddy and Sharon's potential romance.

The new Walford arrival recently struck up a bit of a bond with Sharon following a lock-in at the gym with Phil, as Teddy tried to win her over with charm and invited her for a drink.

During their date, Sharon turned down Teddy's offer for a further drink despite the pair appearing to share a connection.

In new scenes set to air next Thursday (July 11), Harry spills a drink all over Sharon by accident, which leads Teddy to try and ask her out on a date again.

She politely declines, though he later decides to turn up on her doorstep with a new blouse and wine in tow.

How will she take this?

The new scenes will come amid a dramatic week as Stevie reveals the sad truth that Billy's mum Val is actually dead, confessing all after Phil threatens him with evidence of the truth.

Opening up about the sad scenes, Billy actor Perry Fenwick explained: "Phil keeps doing detective work on Stevie because he's sure he's going to find something, and he does.

"They leave the party, and Phil makes Stevie tell Billy that his mum died and the circumstances surrounding her death. It's absolutely devastating for Billy because the news she's dead is hard enough, but there's much more to it.

"Phil might argue that he's protecting Billy, but he's not thinking about Billy when he gets Stevie to break the news like that.

"For all Phil knows, it could send Billy over the edge because it's completely screwed up everything he's got. What Billy thought he knew about his mum has been blown out of the water," he added.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
