The Easter long weekend means some services and businesses may be closed or have limited hours from Friday to Monday (April 19-22).

Here's what you need to know to plan your weekend.

Getting around

Calgary Transit Calgary Transit will run on its Sunday service schedule on Friday and Sunday. Buses will be running on the regular weekday service schedule on Monday.

Parking and road closures On-street parking is free on Monday and holiday rates will be charged in Calgary Parking Authority parkades and select surface lots. Regular rates will be in effect at the Calgary Zoo, Telus Spark and Heritage Park.

There will be parking restrictions on 17th Avenue during the Stanley Cup playoffs for both home and away games when the Calgary Flames are playing, from the Saddledome (Macleod Trail) to 14th Street S.W. between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Also on 14th Street S.W.

Stay off 14th Street S.W. Over the weekend, the city will be shutting down large stretches of 14th Street S.W. from Southland Drive to Heritage Drive, and parts of 90th Avenue S.W. to work on the new Bus Rapid Transit lanes. The times are staggered but in general it will be either closed or reduced to a single lane. Heritage Park will be accessible via Heritage Drive and southbound 14th Street.
