Egmont Liberals decide who carries the party banner

Robert Morrissey, a former provincial cabinet minister, will be the Liberal candidate in the riding of Egmont in the next federal election.

The nomination convention took place at Hernewood Intermediate School and more than 2,100 people were eligible to vote.

The riding has been held by Conservative MP Gail Shea since 2008.

The four candidates vying for the Liberal nomination were Gilles Arsenault, Robert Gallant, Robert Morrissey and Tina Mundy.
