“Euphoria”'s Colman Domingo Says 'Wild' Costar Angus Cloud Would've Been 'Very Strong' in Season 3
"He was just sweet and funny and warm and odd at the same time. And I love people like that," Domingo said of the late Cloud
Angus Cloud is dearly missed among the Euphoria cast.
While speaking to Vanity Fair for the outlet's 30th annual Hollywood issue, Colman Domingo — who plays Ali, the sponsor of Zendaya's character Rue, in the hit HBO series — said the late Cloud, who played Fezco, would have had a big part in season 3.
Domingo, 54, spoke about how the cast got through such a tough time after Cloud died at age 25 on July 31, 2023, before Euphoria producer Kevin Turen's death at age 44 the following November.
"I’m sure it affected not only the creation of season 3, because [Angus] was going to be a very strong part of it, but it’s … I don’t know," he said. "We came together as a cast many times to grieve, to mourn, to laugh and enjoy all the things we know about Angus."

"He was a wild one. I love him. He was a wild little brother. He was just sweet and funny and warm and odd at the same time. And I love people like that," Domingo continued of Cloud.
"If you’re not a little off, I have no business with you. You got to be a little off to be up in my life. He was all those things," the Academy Award nominee added.
Domingo also said of Duren, "Then we lost Kevin, one of our producers. So we’ve had some losses. I know that Sam [Levinson] is conscious of that, and so I think it really helps to reexamine the work."
"We need to always not just ride on our laurels of, ‘Oh, we’ve had a hit show. We’ve won Emmys,’ stuff like that. But he’s always wanting to redefine and say, ‘Why are we doing this? Why? Like really.’ And I think it’s a great question. Why exactly are we doing this?" he said.
It's been over two years since Euphoria season 2 premiered in January 2022, but fans will still have to wait a while for season 3, which is expected to drop sometime next year.
And Domingo didn't have much to say when questioned about the eagerly anticipated third installment. "I’m in it," he told Vanity Fair, laughing. "What I know is that we will have a season 3."
And according to the Rustin actor, "It will be challenging in the most beautiful way."
"I always think that [Euphoria creator Sam Levinson] is examining hope and faith, especially when it comes to people who are struggling and trying to find their way," he added. "I know Sam Levinson and his heart, and I know he’s one of the kindest human beings that I know."
How Cloud’s character will be written out from the series remains unknown.
