Motorcyclist seriously injured; all lanes of I-35 near Ripy St. in Fort Worth reopened
A motorcyclist is in serious condition following an accident that shut down southbound Interstate-35 at Ripy Street in Fort Worth on Saturday, according to authorities.
At around 4:15 p.m., officers responded to South Freeway Northbound and East Seminary Drive about a major accident involving a motorcycle.
Police believe the motorcyclist was involved in an accident with another vehicle on the freeway, but the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, police say.
All north and southbound lanes of I-35 were reopened at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Fort Worth Police Traffic Investigations Unit has been notified.
