After Brittany Snow addressed how she feels about her ex-husband Tyler Stanaland’s Selling the OC costars, one of them took to Instagram with a message fans think is directed at the actress.

Alex Hall, whose romantic dalliance with Stanaland was documented on season 2 of the Netflix series following his split from Snow, posted a video of herself sitting on an Italian balcony looking unbothered, accompanied by a pointed message.

“Imagine talking s--- about me in your ugly town to your stinky friend & I’m just over here having breakfast in Lake Como before I head to my massage,” she wrote over the video in a post shared Wednesday.

Hall also shared some blunt words in the accompanying caption.

“PSA: You will never be criticized by someone doing more than you,” she wrote. “When working your way to the top, always have your blinders on. Focus on yourself, your goals, and what’s important to you. Xx”

Although Hall denied it in the comments, fans believe her post is related to Snow's appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast on the same day, in which she opened up about how Stanaland’s castmates on the Selling Sunset spinoff affected her.

Cooper brings up the rumors among viewers of the show about the nature of Stanaland's relationships with some of his co-stars. "Your ex-husband went on a reality show and there was a situation with another woman that just played out and you had no idea what was happening until it aired for the world," she says.

“They took up a lot of energy and emotion and time and real estate in my head," the Pitch Perfect star replies. "I don't wanna give them any more time and energy because then they would win and get what they wanted — which was getting my time and energy and attention."

Snow adds, "I will say what people think happened, happened."

Following the podcast episode's release, Stanaland posted a statement to Instagram saying, "I want to make it clear that I was never unfaithful in my marriage and the accusations of infidelity couldn't be further from the truth."

Stanaland and fellow cast member Kayla Cardona made headlines in August 2022 after it was revealed on the show that she had tried to kiss him twice while he was still married to Snow.

He and Hall shared a kiss during a work trip to Mexico at the end of season 2, which was released in September 2023, a year after Stanaland and Snow announced their separation.

The comments on Hall’s post from Wednesday are filled with fans speculating the "talking sh--" she refers to is in Snow's recent interview.

“Girl take this down we all have second hand embarrassment reading this,” one person wrote.

Another wrote, "When did mistresses get so confident. Okayyyy miss side piece."

"If you weren't bothered, then why did you post this?" added a third.

Commenters also took issue with the “someone doing more than you” line in the caption, suggesting that Hall meant it as an insult toward Snow.

“Alex I’m sorry girl but there’s no way you are more successful than Brit Snow,” read one post.

Some even took a swing at the seemingly old video clip she used.

"It's like 45 degrees and raining in Lake Como all this week," one person wrote of the Northern Italian city in which Hall's video is set.

However, Hall responded to the negative comments, saying no one should make assumptions about the meaning of her post.

“People in my comments really jumping to a conclusion that this post is related to something that it’s not,” she wrote. “Y’all are here to stir up your own drama for reeeeeal.”

Snow and Stanaland announced their decision to separate after two years of marriage in identical statements on Instagram in September 2022.

"After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate," wrote Snow. "This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives."

"We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie," she added. "We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter."

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in February, Snow said the past year had been “really challenging,” but also “really great.”

“It's been very cool to be so focused and centered on what I like doing,” she said. “And I do believe in energy, and I think when you open yourself up to new experiences and new people, things just sort of fall into place when you put yourself in the right headspace.”
