Drivers In Belarus Fed Up With Expensive Upgrades Soup-Up Cars With CARDBOARD Spoilers

There are supercars - and then there are souped-up cardboard cars.

Cardboard might seem like an odd choice of material to modify your motor - it’s not very durable, for starters - but it’s proving a popular addition to vehicles in Belarus.

They have taken to kitting their cars out with the remnants of cardboard boxes because of the high cost of standard fittings.

Cars with cardboard spoilers have started appearing in the city of Gomel, held together by sticky tape.

A number of similarly souped-up super car-dboards took part in a flash mob event staged by a PR company.

A spokesman said: “We worked on the cars all night. Having a flashy car doesn’t have to cost a fortune. This way everybody can afford an upgrade.”

Photos of the cars were shared across internet motoring forums.

One web user, IdV, said: “Cheap and cool! If one of the upgrades gets lost or damaged, it wouldn’t be such a problem, as you could just make another one.”

But another user, Venja, wrote: “The tuning is about as good as the cars.”
