The FBI confirms that they are considering an investigation of Brad Pitt
The FBI is considering whether to launch an investigation into an incident involving Brad Pitt and his children, the Associated Press reports. Following allegations that the actor was abusive towards one of his six children during a recent flight, a spokesperson for the bureau has issued the following statement.
"In response to your inquiry regarding allegations within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States, specifically an aircraft carrying Mr Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued," it read.

It is because the alleged incident took place in the air that the FBI would have jurisdiction over the situation. The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed it is not investigating the allegations, despite earlier reports claiming the contrary. A statement released on Thursday said: "LAPD is not handling any report or allegations into child abuse for Mr Brad Pitt."

"This decision was made for the health of the family," the actress' lawyer Robert Offer confirmed. "She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."
A short time after the divorce news broke, Brad broke his silence. "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids," he said in a statement. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
