Federal election 2015: Advance polls open through to Thanksgiving Monday

Advance polls for the upcoming federal election opened Friday and remain open until Thanksgiving Monday.

The polls are open from noon until 8 p.m.

It's an opportunity for people who aren't able to vote on Oct. 19 to cast a ballot.

There are four ridings on P.E.I., and 19 advance polls within those four ridings, according to Françosie Enguehard, Elections Canada spokeswoman in the Atlantic provinces.

The location of the advance polls are posted on the voter information cards sent out in the mail.

Voters will need to provide either a driver's licence or two pieces of identification, one of which must list an address.

Anyone who didn't receive a card can find out where to vote by calling 1-800-463-6868 or going to Elections Canada.
