Fire causes loss of phone, internet service in Camperville, Manitoba
About 615 MTS customers in Camperville and the surrounding communities of Duck Bay and Smoky Island are without phone and internet service.
A fire destroyed MTS equipment located in Camperville at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Affected customers are unable to place local and long distance calls using their home phone or land line or access the Internet.
There is no cell coverage in the area.
A MTS spokesperson says crews are on site trying to come up with a temporary solution.
It's not known when service will be restored.
