Gary Switzer out as Erie St. Clair LHIN CEO

Gary Switzer is no longer CEO of the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network, board chair Martin Girash says.

Girash won't say why Switzer is no longer with the LHIN.

"We don't get into specific HR issues," he said.

Girash said Switzer wil hold no role with the LHIN.

"We've separated our relationship. I don't know what other activities he's going to be involved in," he said.

Girash thanked Switzer for his years of work.

"He's contributed to the development of the whole system," he said.

Ralph Ganter has been named the acting CEO. The change took place Monday, Girash said.

Ganter was previously the senior director of health systems design and implementation at the LHIN.

"The board has not discussed that, yet," Girash said when asked how long Ganter will remain acting CEO. "We will be shortly, entering into deliberations shortly regarding that."
