Gigi Hadid Revealed Her Biggest Failure for Rihanna’s Edition of i-D Magazine

“I didn’t believe I had the voice to speak out.”

Gigi Hadid has spent the better part of her life growing up in front of the camera. As a supermodel walking in runway shows for every brand we've ever loved, she's become a go-to presence in the world of style, but she has one big career regret.

Appearing in the special Rihanna-edited edition of i-D magazine, Gigi admitted her biggest regret ever is not speaking up on set. "I think my biggest failures in my life and my career have been when I haven’t had — or I wasn’t old enough to have – the confidence to stand up for myself when I knew what was happening on set wasn’t right," the supermodel opened up.

"I didn’t believe I had the voice to speak out," Gigi continued. "I guess through those disappointments in myself, or through disappointing others with my actions, I’ve really been able to learn. I try and grow from everything."

As Gigi further explained, life is all about encountering failures and successes, and it's how you deal with these moments and move on from them that matters. Gigi admitted she's worked through failures by checking in with herself, and recommended having "an inner dialogue that forces you to look at it from every perspective, and forces you to be in other people’s shoes." She continued, saying, "You have to connect with your morals, with how you want to live your life, find your place. I learned that the hard way."
