“The Golden Bachelor” host Jesse Palmer reacts to Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist divorce news
"My heart is forever with these two beautiful souls."
The Golden Bachelor host Jesse Palmer is sending love to Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist after the couple announced Friday that they are divorcing after three months of marriage.
The Bachelor alum, who has hosted the franchise since 2021, posted an image of himself, Nist, and Turner that was taken at the taping of the Golden Bachelor finale and shared his well-wishes for the pair in an Instagram message.
“My heart is forever with these two beautiful souls,” Palmer wrote. “I am eternally grateful to have gotten to know Gerry and Theresa and to have been a small part of their journey.”
“I learned a lot about life, love, and family watching and talking with them,” he concluded. “Wishing them and their families both nothing but happiness.”
On Friday, Turner and Nist announced on Good Morning America that they would be going their separate ways just three months after tying the knot in a lavish, televised Golden Wedding ceremony. Turner, the series’ first senior Bachelor in the franchise's history, proposed to Nist during the season finale of the show last November.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth, and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage,” Turner explained to GMA host Juju Chang during their interview.
Nist also listed location as a contributing factor to their divorce. “We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at homes after home," she said, "but we never got to the point where we made that decision.”
