Meet the Golden Bachelor’s family.

As Gerry Turner stars on ABC’s new Bachelor spinoff, he has the support of his best girls.

The 71-year-old retired restaurateur is the proud father of two daughters, Angie and Jenny, whom he shared with his late wife Toni. He is also a grandpa to two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton.

Turner and Toni, who were high school sweethearts, married in 1974 and were together for 43 years before Toni fell ill and died in 2017, just six weeks after she retired.

Now, Turner is searching for love again on the new ABC reality series – an experiencing that his daughters encouraged him to try. And Turner says he believes his late wife would support the undertaking.

“For a while it was like ... I was having a hard time figuring out if she would be okay. But we always told each other when one of us goes, we want the other to be happy,” Turner previously told Good Morning America about his late wife. “She's up there rooting [for me]. She's saying, 'Yeah, Gerry. Do this.' "

Ahead, here’s everything to know about Turner’s daughters and granddaughters.

Gerry Turner’s Daughters, Jenny Young and Angie Warner

Turner welcomed two daughters, Jenny Young and Angie Warner, with his late wife Toni. Despite making several appearances with their father for Golden Bachelor promos, they have stayed out of the spotlight ahead of the show’s premiere and both of their social media profiles are set to private. Though little is known about Angie and Jenny’s background, they played a large role in him joining the show.

Speaking with Variety, Turner revealed that he saw an ad for the show during Covid when he was feeling “down on my luck” and mentioned it to his daughters, who encouraged him to pursue it.

“They’re big fans of the show, and they kind of got me watching the show and they said, ‘Dad, you should do it.’ And to my surprise, I filled out the online interview and heard shortly after, within the next several days,” he explained. “And then, of course, things went dead with Covid, and lo and behold, when it was announced that again it was going to happen, my phone rang and it’s been off to the races since then.”

During a teaser for the Golden Bachelor, Angie and Jenny appeared on camera with their father as they discussed his journey to finding love again. In the clip, his daughter Jenny noted that she was confident he would find someone, saying, “You have a great personality. Other people are gonna see it. You’re my dad. You’re the most awesome person anyways.”

Gerry Turner’s Granddaughters, Charlee Young and Payton Young

Turner also has two granddaughters, Charlee Young, 16, and Payton Young, 21, who are Jenny’s children. While they also are not public figures, Turner says they have shown their support for their grandfather ahead of the Golden Bachelor premiere.

Speaking with Variety, Turner said that his daughters and granddaughters are “genuinely excited and thrilled” about his new role as the Golden Bachelor. “My granddaughters have had guests to my house since this all started, and they pick their friends that are big fans of the show,” he explained.

He added that they have helped him a lot in the technology department. “The funniest thing is my lack of knowledge of social media,” he told Variety. “I’ve never really cared that much. And so, they will send me information … They’re very excited. They’re thrilled. They send me a lot of positive reinforcement.”

In a promo clip for the show, his granddaughter Charlee joked that he needs to step up his texting game as he reenters the dating world. “I think it starts with your texting,” Charlee said with a smile. “You need to upgrade. Don’t start with 'Dear [her name]'."

During a previous episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with Joe Amiable and Serena Pitt, Turner added that his granddaughters are also keeping him in the loop on what is being discussed about him online. “I have two granddaughters, 21 [and] 16, and they’re very adept at finding comments and the things online. So they’re firing me stuff nonstop about things that are being said, and it’s hilarious, but they are loving it.”
