There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

Christine Baranski altered my brain chemistry as the camp Christmas icon Martha May Whovier — and again in "Mamma Mia!" as Sophie's oh-so stylish wine aunt, Tanya. She's not only done it all (see: law dramas, period pieces, Broadway productions), she's done it with star-quality style.

At the 1997 Golden Globe Awards, for one, Baranski stunned in a strapless black velvet gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a glittering mermaid flare. Further proving her penchant for a dramatic ensemble, she paired it with matching elbow-length opera gloves, sparkling silver bangles and drop earrings. The black sunglasses were the sartorial cherry on top.

The drama didn't stop with Baranski's gown: She leveled up her signature bob and honey-colored highlights with gravity-defying roots and voluminous layers. On the beauty front, the actor opted for a sultry burgundy lip and a diffused smokey eye.
