Highlights: Kentucky basketball recruit Caleb Wilson shows potential ahead of official visit

Entering this week’s Under Armour Next Elite 24 showcase event in Atlanta, it was clear most of the Kentucky men’s basketball interest would lie with Caleb Wilson, a class of 2025 five-star recruit.

Wilson is one of only a handful of players at the event with a Kentucky scholarship offer.

And now, after Wilson told the Herald-Leader he will soon be taking an official visit to Kentucky, interest from Wildcats fans in Wilson should only increase.

A 6-foot-9, 198-pound power forward (measurements via 247Sports), Wilson plays prep basketball for Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta and played up an age level on the Nike EYBL circuit this spring and summer for the Georgia Stars program.

Kentucky offered Wilson a scholarship in late June following his performance at the National Basketball Players Association Top 100 camp in Orlando.

Now, the Cats will soon receive an official visit from the player who is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 5 overall player in the class of 2025.
