Hollyoaks' Jamie Lomas to leave Warren Fox role

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas is set to leave the Channel 4 soap at the end of his current contract.

The actor, who has played Warren Fox on and off since 2006, will be making his exit later this year, according to The Sun.

This will mark Lomas' fourth exit from the soap, having first left in 2009 after three years in the role of Warren, when his character was seemingly killed in a fire.

A shock twist later saw him return for another stint from 2010 to 2011, when he was arrested for the murder of his wife Louise Summers.

Lomas returned to the soap again in 2016, though he left just a year later to take part in I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

"I had to make a decision – whether to sign or take the gamble. The gamble was I wanted to do this. And I felt it came at the right time. And it has paid off because I am doing it," he explained at the time.

The soap star then made a cameo appearance in 2019, before making a permanent comeback in 2020.

Warren is currently involved in a devastating storyline amid the death of his daughter Ella Richardson, who he'll soon discover was killed by Ste Hay in a car crash.

Although Ste's husband James Nightingale pinned the blame on drug dealer Kane, Warren will discover the truth and vow revenge in scenes airing next week.

"As we all know Warren Fox, he is the hardman of the village, and Ella was such a big part of his life in the last few months," Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste, recently shared.

"He missed out on so much with her, and he got this opportunity to bond with a daughter he never knew he had, and then Ste took that all away from him. He's not going to be happy."

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
