Howie Mandel recalls gory details of wife's drunken hotel room fall: 'You could actually see her skull'

Mandel recounted the bloody scene to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

Howie Mandel has opened up about new, gory details regarding his wife's drunken fall inside a Las Vegas hotel room earlier this year.

The America's Got Talent judge and comedian appeared Monday on Live With Kelly and Mark, and recalled the explicit ordeal, which occurred in February after he and spouse Terry Mandel returned home from a dinner outing in the Nevada city.

"We partied. It was too much. She was tipsy. I did not know that, and in the middle of the night she got up and, I don't know where she was headed, but she headed into the wall. She fell and hit the wainscoting," Mandel said. "She hit that as she went down. She slipped, went down, hit that on her eye, fell on the floor, and broke her cheek."

Live then flashed an image of Terry on the screen, showing her with a purple bruise under her eye and a large cut on her forehead.

Terry later recovered after being admitted to a hospital, but Howie said he "freaked out" in the moment, and that hotel staff sent multiple security guards to the room after he called for assistance.

"I picked her up, I put her on the bed, there's blood everywhere. I went and grabbed all the towels, all the towels are covered with blood," he remembered. "I saw her head, and you could actually see her skull. It opened up. I freaked."
